About the Dutchwomen:
-Union is coming off a tough weekend series with Princeton and Quinnipiac. Union was out scored 10-0 in the two games. Sophomore
Olivia Rinzel made a combined 75 saves in the two games over the weekend. Union was unable to find the back of the net in either game. Senior

About the Saints:
-The Saints kicked off this week of three games with a 4-1 won over the Princeton Tigers. Four different Saints scored in the win. St. Lawrence welcomes in Union to Appleton Arena on Friday evening. The Saints top goal scorer is Sophomore Aly McLeod. First-year Abby Hustler and junior Rachel Teslak are tied in both assists (9) and points (13) both which lead the team. Junior Morgan Lucy has played in 20 games and has a 6-9-5 record with a 1.72 GAA and a .940 save percentage.
Last Time They Played:
-St. Lawrence shut out Union the last time they played each other back on October 30. The Saints win 4-0 and scored three times in the first period. Union went 0-8 on the power-play and 3-6 on the penalty kill.
Historically Speaking:
-Union has yet to beat St, Lawrence all time. Union is 0-32-3 all time against the St. Lawrence.
About the Golden Knights
-The Golden Knights welcome in Union on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Knights have won three straight coming into the weekend series. They will play RPI on Friday and the Dutchwomen the next day. Junior Gabrielle David leads the team in goals with 15. Graduate Student Caitrin Lonergan leads the team in assist with 21 and points with 33. Sophomore Michelle Pasiechnyk has been solid in the net for the Golden Knights. She is 16-2-3 with a 1.35 goals against average and a .940 save percentage.
Last Time They Played:
-Clarkson topped Union last time they met on October 29, by a final of 4-1. Sophomore
Celeste Beaudoin scored on the player advantage for the Dutchwomen.
Historically Speaking:
-Union is 1-34 all time against Clarkson. Their last win came in 2011.
MAC Goaltender of the Month and Rookie of the Month:

Sophie Matsoukas was named the MAC Goaltender of the Month and Rookie of the Month as she posted a posted a 0.71 goals against average and a .978 save percentage as well as earning her first collegiate shutout and win for the Union College women's hockey team. Matsoukas went 2-0 in two starts and made 91 saves in 93 shots in the month of December. She was also named MAC Goaltender of the week on December 14th.
Rookie of the Week:

Maren Friday was named Rookie of the Week on October 4, following a four point weekend sweep against the Tigers of RIT. Friday has a goal and an assist in both games. Union started the season off 2-0-0.
Fresh Faces:
- The Union College women's hockey team enters the year with 15 players who have never played a collegiate hockey game. Seven sophomores are returning after not seeing the ice last year because of the pandemic, while eight first-years will played in their first collegiate games for the Dutchwomen in the season opener at RIT.

Cassidy Michalicka was named the captain following serving as an assistant captain in the 2019-20 season for the Dutchwomen. Classmate
Grace Heiting was named a captain for the 2021-22 season as well.
