SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's hockey team shut out the Big Green of Dartmouth College 3-0 at Messa Rink on Friday evening. Senior

Paige Greco all tallied assists in the 3-0 win.
Union struck first just two minutes into the game when Beaudoin back handed a loose puck to Suitor, who was on a partial breakaway and faked a deke and shoveled the puck between the legs of Dartmouth net minder Maggie Emerson. Greco was also credited with an assist.
Nine minutes later King and McLeod had a two on one and King throw a shot on a goal and McLeod made sure to bury the puck into the open off the rebound. Merlo was also credited with an assist on the goal that extended Union's lead to 2-0. Dartmouth outshot Union 11-9 in the period.
Union extended their lead to 3-0 eight minutes into the third period on the power-play. With two Dartmouth skaters in the box, Martinez fired a shot over the right shoulder on Emerson for her first strike of the season. Beaudoin and Killian each added assists on Martinez's third period tally.
Matsoukas was excellent in net stopping all 24 shots on goal for her second shut out of the season. Union dominated the face-off going 30-17 from the dot. King went 14-4 from the dot, while senior
Cassidy Michalicka went 10-8 from the dot as well.
Union went 1-4 on the power-play and were a perfect 6-6 on the penalty kill.
The Dutchwomen will get back on the ice on Saturday, February 19, for Senior Day against #7 Harvard University. Puck drop is slated for 3 p.m. at Messa Rink.
