Men's Soccer Falls to Plymouth State 1-0

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Union College men's soccer team fell in a close game 1-0 to the Panther of Plymouth State on Saturday afternoon from Arold Field. The Duthcmen threw everything they had at the Pantehrs, but were unable to find the back of the net in a 1-0 loss.

Union (1-2-1) took 13 shots in the first half, with one of them making in on goal and had five corner opportunities in the first half and were unable to capitalize in the first half. The game was tied after the first half of play.

The Panthers found the back of the nest in the 75th minute and this tally would hold, as they defeated the Dutchmen. Union outshot Plymouth State 15-9 in the second half, while each team had six corner opportunities.

Junior Sean Speck made three saves on four shots in the effort for Union.

The Dutchmen will now have a week off before returning home for a Sunday afternoon game against the Lasell University from College Park Field. The start for that game is at 2 p.m.
