About the Dutchwomen:
Union is entering the 2022-23 hockey season with a lot of returning faces, while adding nine new comers into the mix as well. Union it returning their highest point scorer last year in junior
Celeste Beaudoin who totaled 12 assists for 15 points. Starting goaltender
Sophie Matsoukas also returned for Union.
Union finished the season 5-28-1, with an opening weekend sweep of RIT and then swept Dartmouth for the first time ever in program history last season.
About the Wildcats:
New Hampshire welcomes in seven newcomers to the team. Five first-year players and two transfers from Mercyhurst and Merrimack. The Wildcats have both of their top scorers returning as well, Kira Juodikis (12-8-20) and Tamara Thierus (8-12-20).
Graduate Student Ava Boutilier is retuning in net for the Wildcats. She played in 22 games last season averaging a .911 save percentage, with a 7-14 record.
Last Time They Played:
These teams met last season for a weekend series. The Wildcats swept Union out scoring them 11-1 in the two games including a 7-0 win in the first meeting.
Paige Greco scored the lone Union goal in that series.
Historically Speaking:
Union has never beaten the Wildcats, with a losing record of 0-5. The teams played for the first time back in 2010-11. Union is averaging 1.2 goals a game in that five game span.

Josh Sciba served as an assistant coach for the 2022 U.S. Women's National Team. The United States returned home from the 2022 IIHF Women's Hockey World Championships with a Silver Medal, following a 2-1 loss to Canada in the gold medal game.
