Christian O'Sullivan the Union College men's soccer team lost 3-2 to New England College on Wednesday evening.
Farr scored his second goal of the season and O'Sullivan scored his first collegiate goal in the effort for the Dutchmen.
Union grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the 17th minute when Farr gathered in a deflected shot and was able to beat the goal keeper with a shot to the far-left. This was Farr's second of the season. Union out shot NEC 8-2 in the half, but only led 1-0 after the first half.
The Pilgrims evened the score in the 49th minute. The Dutchmen responded with their second tally of the game, just four minutes later. O'Sullivan scored on a rebound off a shot from junior
Luca Richo off a set piece. The goal keeper made the initial save and O'Sullivan was right on the door step to knock the ball into the open goal. Union regained the lead, 2-1.
The Pilgrims were not done yet. They added two goals in a span of three minutes to grab a 3-2 lead. Their lead would hold as NEC topped Union 3-2.
Union out shot NEC 18-7 in the game with 8 shots landing on goal to the Pilgrims three that found the back of the net. Union also finished in front with seven corner opportunities to the NEC three.
Union will stay on the road as they travel to Liberty League opponent Vassar College to take on the Brewers at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 1.
