SUNY Oneonta Tops Union 3-0

ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Union College men' soccer team fell to the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons Tuesday evening from Red Dragon Field by a final of 3-0.

After very little action on either side in the first half, the action picked up immediately in the second half. The Red Dragons capitalized just two minutes in when they found a soft spot in the defense and scored in the 47th minute to give themselves a 1-0 lead. Oneonta extended their lead 20 minutes later to jump up 2-0 on Union. They added a third goal in the 90th minute to seal the win. Union lost 3-0.

Junior Sean Speck had 14 shots sent his way with seven of them on frame. He made four saves in the effort for the Dutchmen (1-1-1). Union was out shot 14-4 in the contest.

Union gets back on the field on Saturday afternoon as they face off against the Panthers of Plymouth State from Plymouth, New Hampshire. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
