ITHACA, N.Y. - The Union College women's soccer team's four-game winning and five-game unbeaten streaks both came to an end at the hands of Ithaca College Friday night, falling by a score of 1-0.
The lone goal came with just over 10 minutes on the clock in the first half. Sarah Sinnott put in a header off a Allison Heft free kick, and the Bombers held on to their 1-0 lead for the remainder of the contest.
Sophomore
Rachel Berliner had a career game in net, stopping a career-high eight shots, including six in the first half alone, against the Liberty League's best offense.
Junior
Sam Friedman was responsible for Union's two shots on goal.
Union (6-4-2, 2-2-1) will look to put the loss in the rearview mirror and bounce back quickly, as the Garnet Chargers head to #4 William Smith Saturday for a 2:00 PM kick off from Geneva.
