SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's hockey team fell 6-0 to the #3 Colgate University Raiders on Friday evening from Messa Rink. Sophomore
Sophie Matsoukas stopped 38 shots in the effort for Union.
Colgate's Danielle Serdachny paced all skaters with points as Colgate had seven players tally at least two points.
The Raiders scored in all situations in the first period, scoring a power-play goal, short handed goal, and an even strength goal to jump out to a 3-0 after 20 minutes. Union was out shot 16-2 in the period.
Colgate scored three more goals over the following 40 minutes. Union's best chance came as time was winding down in third period, as senior
Emily King one timed a shot from the slot, but was unable to find the back of the net.
Union lost 6-0 to the Raiders. Union went 0-3 on the power-play and 1-3 on the penalty kill. Junior
Celeste Beaudoin lead Union in the face off circle, going 62.5 percent.
Union will wrap of the season tomorrow, February 18, against #14 Cornell. Saturday's game will be Union's senior day as they celebrate seniors
