SCHENECTADY, N.Y, - The Union College women's hockey team lost 2-0 to the Bear of Brown University on Saturday afternoon from Messa Rink. Sophomore
Sophie Matsoukas made 22 saves in the effort for Union.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first period, as Union out shot Brown 8-5 through 20 minutes. Union has the two best scoring chances with breakaways from senior
Carmen Merlo and sophomore

Union went 0-2 on the power-play and 1-1 on the penalty kill.
The Garnet and White will hit the road next week as they travel to Princeton and Quinnipiac. Union will take on Princeton on Friday, February 10. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. from Hobey Baker Rink.
