HARTFORD, Conn. – The Union College baseball team dropped a nonconference game to Trinity College, 13-1, Wednesday evening at Murren Family Field.

The Bantams took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first. In the top of the second, Union cut the lead with their lone run of the game. After senior

Liam McIlroy doubled to put runners on second and third. Junior
Thomas Parisi reached first on an error and Santos capitalized for the score.
Trinity extended the lead in the third inning with four straight singles to take a 9-1 lead. The Bantams plated three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Junior
Kyle Patlove started his second career game, going five innings, and allowing 12 runs, 11 earned, on 14 hits and two walks. Sophomore
Alex Erickson pitched three innings of relief, including two scoreless innings, allowing one run on one hit and one walk with five strikeouts.
Union returns to the field on Friday with a single Liberty League game at Skidmore College. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Castle Diamond.
