PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – After a late tally in the 86th minute to break a 1-1 tie, the Union College men's soccer team fell 2-1 to Plattsburgh State on Saturday afternoon at the Field House Complex.
Junior
Aiden Normand was the lone goal scorer for the Garnet Chargers and first-year
Marco Perugini tallied his third assist of the season.
First-year
Paul Agne made his fifth start of the season, making two saves.
Union was quick to get on the board with a goal by Normand only 6:28 into the game. Just over 20 minutes later, Modou Badjie scored the equalizer for the Cardinals. Perugini had a chance to score in the final few minutes of the half, but Teddy Healy made the stop for the Cardinals.
Knotted at one with only 3:49 to play, the Cardinals broke through with a goal by Jack Healy.
Union is back in action on Tuesday with a trip to Williams College. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Cole Field.
