CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore
Brandon Buhr scored the game-tying goal with 59.6 seconds left in regulation then scored the game-winner in overtime to send the Union College men's hockey team past Harvard University 5-4 on Saturday night at Bright-Landry Hockey Center.
The win tonight is the first time Union has won in Cambridge since January 30, 2015, a 5-4 win in regulation.

Liam Robertson put together a career game with two goals and two assists for a four-point game. The four points is the most for a Union skater since Cole Maier '19 registered four assists in Union's 7-2 win over #1 St. Cloud State on January 4, 2019.
The win in overtime combined with the 5-1 win over Dartmouth last night marks Union's first road ECAC Hockey weekend sweep in six years. The last time Union swept an ECAC Hockey series on the road was on January 19-20, 2018 when Union defeated Yale 3-2 and Brown 2-0.

Tyler Watkins also registered a multi-point night with a goal and an assist. First-year
DJ Hart scored his first collegiate point, an assist, on Robertson's first goal.
The first period was all Union as the visitors out-shot Harvard 17-4 in the opening frame. Robertson opened the scoring at 8:58 of the period. Hart ripped a shot from the point that bounced off of Derek Mullahy's pads. MacArthur backhanded the puck into the slot and Robertson fired a quick wrister for the score. Union took a 2-0 lead a few minutes later on the powerplay. Junior
Caden Villegas sent a shot from the top of the right circle and Robertson redirected the puck in for the goal.
The Crimson cut the lead to one in the second period. Joe Miller scored on the powerplay with a one-timer from the left circle to make it a 2-1 game.
The offense erupted for both teams in the third period that saw five total goals scored. Harvard tied the game at two only 1:07 into the third period. Casey Severo. Union struck back 1:17 later with a goal from Watkins. Sophomore
Nick Young fired a shot from the right point and Watkins redirected the puck in front to re-take a one-goal lead. Marek Hejduk scored 3:06 later to knot the game at three. Alex Gaffney gave the Crimson their first lead of the night with a power-play goal. Union pulled sophomore
Kyle Chauvette in favor of the extra-attacker and Union cashed in with 59.6 seconds to play in regulation. Watkins sent a shot into traffic and Robertson kicked it out to Buhr who buried it.
Union needed just 75 seconds to score in the overtime period. Junior
Cullen Ferguson sent a cross-ice pass to sophomore
Nate Hanley in the neutral zone. Hanley fired an initial shot that bounced off Mullahy's pads and Buhr was there to clean up the rebound for the overtime winner.
Chauvette made 21 saves in the win while Mullahy stopped 35 shots in the loss.
Union is back in action on Saturday for the annual Mayor's Cup game against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at MVP Arena in Albany.
