SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Senior attacker
Jake Mabardy of the nationally ranked Union College men's lacrosse team finished up the regular season by earning a spot on the USILA/Blatant Lacrosse Division III Team of the Week, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced on Wednesday.
Mabardy is the third Union player to earn Team of the Week honors this season, joining classmates

Mabardy had a team-leading nine points in two games for #9 Union last week to finish off the regular-season slate. The senior accounted for more than half of Union's scoring in an 11-6 win over St. John Fisher University on Wednesday with four goals and two assists, including a string of three straight goals during a 4-0 run that extended the Union lead from two to six in the third quarter. He added two goals, an assist and a caused turnover on Saturday in a 16-12 loss to #2 Rochester Institute of Technology.
Following last night's postseason opener, Mabardy ranks third on the team in scoring so far this season with 26 goals and 19 assists for 45 points and cracked the 100-point mark with his first point last night against Clarkson.
Fourth-seeded Union will return to action on Friday in the Liberty League Tournament at top-seeded and #2 Rochester Institute of Technology beginning at 4 p.m.
