Williamstown, Mass. – The Union College Men's Soccer team fell 2-0 to Williams College Tuesday evening at Cole Field.
Williams College, fresh off the win against #1 Amherst, set the pace quickly recording nine shots on net in the first half. Williams' first goal came at the 38-minute mark when Spencer Mix and Ben Brown assisted Alex Bethencourt who found the back of the net.
Williams registered an additional ten shots and added their second goal just over a quarter way through the second half. At the 56-minute mark, Kai Darrell assisted Griffin Labonski who struck the ball into the net.
Union first-year goalkeeper, Jackson Magee, delivered a solid performance recording a season and career high of 11 saves. Union concluded the game with 12 shots with seven shots landing on goal.
The Garnet Chargers return to action Saturday afternoon when they host Brandeis University for a non-conference matchup at 3:00 pm.
