Lucas Crowley's Goal Sends Union Past TCNJ

EWING, N.J. – Senior Lucas Crowley scored the lone goal for the Union College men's soccer team in a 1-0 win against The College of New Jersey on day two the TCNJ Men's Soccer Classic Sunday afternoon at Lion Stadium.

Crowley scored his first career goal on a penalty kick at 82:32 of the game.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle that featured five shots for each team and a pair of corner kicks each. Crowley took the first corner kick for the Garnet Chargers at 34:20, kicking off just over ten minutes of offensive pressure that included two shots and a second corner kick from Crowley.

Union took seven shots in the second half before a penalty on TCNJ gave Union the penalty kick opportunity.

Junior Jacob Perry earned his first start of the season and recorded his first collegiate shutout with a pair of saves.

Union is on the road again on Wednesday with a non-conference tilt at Western New England University with a 4:00 p.m. start.
