SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Senior Patch Flanagan and sophomore Logan Miller were recognized for their excellent performances in Saturday's 33-16 victory with spots on the D3football.com National Team of the Week, the website announced on Tuesday morning.
 
Flanagan and Miller are Union's first Team of the Week selections since Michael Fiore '25 during the 2022 season, while the duo are the first Union pair to be recognized in the same week since D3football.com started the awards in 1999.
 
Flanagan is the first Union quarterback ever to be named to the Team of the Week after another superlative performance in Saturday's win over Hobart. The senior accounted for 313 total yards and all four Union touchdowns in the victory over Hobart College, completing 11 of 15 passes for 197 yards while also running 23 times for 116 yards and four touchdowns. His four rushing scores are tied for third on the school's all-time single-game list and are tied for the most by any quarterback in Division III this season. The senior, who leads the Liberty League in both passing yards and rushing yards so far this year, is 15th in the country in yards per rush (6.93) and third among D-III quarterbacks in rushing yards overall.
  
Miller is Union's fourth national honoree on the defensive line and first since Jimaar Edwards '23 in 2021 after another big game in the trenches against Hobart, recording three tackles, a pair of sacks and forcing a fumble in the end zone that resulted in a safety. His sack-fumble put Union up 16-0 in the second ?quarter and he added another sack inside the Hobart 10-yard line in the fourth quarter. Miller ranks second in the Liberty League this season with both 7.5 tackles for loss and a team-leading four sacks.
 
After a well-deserved bye week, Union will take its four-game winning streak into a big Liberty League showdown at Ithaca College on October 25.
