SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's lacrosse team played almost one full period of action in its Liberty League Tournament First Round game against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Tuesday evening before the game was suspended due to inclement weather.
The game, which was delayed 42 minutes at the start due to weather, was stopped again at 8:02 p.m. after junior
Christina Guanci scored from the eight-meter arc to put Union up by a 2-1 score with 1:33 left in the opening frame. Senior
Greta Maurer had the other Union goal while Kate McFeeley opened the scoring for the Engineers.
The game will be resumed tomorrow at 5 p.m. at Frank Bailey Field.
