SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College men's tennis team increased its winning streak to a season-high three matches with a 6-1 victory over SUNY Oneonta in the team's final non-conference match of the regular season on Thursday afternoon at the Union Tennis Courts.

Senior
Seth Prusko, junior
Christian Crowder and sophomore
Shreyas Kode all were double winners to lead Union (5-7) on the afternoon, as eight different players recorded at least one victory.

Union started off the day with a sweep of the doubles courts, led by Crowder and Kode's 6-2 third-flight win over Ryan Geller and Seth Cheung. Senior
Austin Gregory and first-year
Jesus Sosa followed with a 6-3 triumph over Chris Chippari and William Schmid at the top flight, and the sweep was finished off by Prusko and first-year
Arhan Gupta in their 6-4 second-doubles win over Jaden Ritterman and Peter Pitaleff.

Kode and first-year
Vivaan Gupta quickly won their singles matches to put Union on the edge of a victory, as Kode dropped only one game to Pitaleff at fourth singles and Gupta needed only two extra frames in a 6-2, 6-0 third-flight win over Ritterman. After Oneonta (6-7) stayed alive with a win at second singles, Crowder clinched the match by defeating Nate Inzerillo in sixth-singles action, 6-2, 6-1.

First-year
David Wang pulled out the closest match of the day, taking down Schmid by a 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) score at the top flight. Prusko provided the final point of the afternoon with a 6-4, 6-3 fifth-singles win over Geller.

Union will return to the courts this weekend for a pair of key Liberty League road matches, beginning on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ithaca College.
