PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Union College men's soccer team fell by a 1-0 score on Saturday afternoon at the Field House Soccer Complex.
Plattsburgh (4-0-2) controlled much of the first half, registering 10 shot attempts while the Garnet Chargers managed just two. Despite the disparity, both teams went into halftime scoreless.
The lone goal of the match came in the 85th minute, when Plattsburgh's Xavier Kama fired a shot from outside the 18-yard box into the lower-right corner of the net.
Union (2-2-1) was unable to generate a response in the final minutes, and Plattsburgh held on to secure the 1-0 victory.
Senior goalkeeper Jacob Perry played the full 90 minutes for the Garnet Chargers, making three saves.
Union returns to action on Tuesday with a road matchup at Williams College, scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
