Cameron Korpi was named to the 2026 Mike Richter Award Watch List, released Jan. 14.
Three of Union's most impactful players are receiving national recognition during fourth-year head coach Josh Hauge's best season at the helm of the program so far. The Garnet Chargers are 15-8-2, won 12 games before the calendar turned to January for the first time since the 2017-18, and have the second-best penalty-kill percentage in the country (90.4%). Also, Union has been ranked in the USCHO.com poll on two occasions this season and ranks in the top-15 of scoring offense (3.52) and scoring defense (2.40).
Leading the way offensively, Buhr paces the team with 17 goals, five of which have served as the game-winner. He has the fifth-most power-play goals in the country (7), and his 1.00 point-per-game average is the ninth-best in ECAC Hockey.
Dunbar is tied with Buhr for the team lead in points at 25 and has the third-most points among defenders nationally. He has six multi-point games, including a four-point performance against #8 Quinnipiac on Dec. 6. His 33 blocked shots are second on the team to senior captain Nick Young (34).
Korpi has already posted three shutouts in his first season in Schenectady and made a season-high 32 saves against UMass Lowell on Nov. 14. Korpi helped Union start the season 4-0-1 and won ECAC Hockey's Goalie of the Month award for October in the process. Of the 29 netminders listed on the Richter Watch List, Korpi is one of eight Americans drawing national attention.

Korpi is a two-time ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Week winner, Dunbar has been named the conference's defender of the week three times, and Buhr won the league's forward of the week award on Oct. 13. Dunbar and Buhr have both been named the league's Defender and Forward of the Month once, respectively.
