SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College Department of Athletics has unveiled its schedules for the 2026 spring season.
 
Eleven Union teams are set to either begin or continue play in the spring, beginning on Wednesday, February 18 when the men's lacrosse team begins its campaign in Schenectady against Bates College. The men's and women's tennis teams and baseball team also will begin the spring during the month of February, with the tennis teams starting play on February 21 at the College of New Jersey and the baseball team traveling to SUNY Maritime for the season-opener on February 28. The tennis teams also will play their first home matches at the end of February against Saint Michael's College on the 27th, while baseball kicks off both its home slate and the month of March on the 1st against Russell Sage College

The women's lacrosse team gets its 2026 season underway on March 4 at Trinity (Conn.) College before coming back for its home opener versus Massachusetts Institute of Technology on March 7. The softball team also gets its season underway on the 7th with the first two of 16 straight games away from home; the squad plays its first home game in (hopefully) nicer weather on April 4 against Ithaca College.

The women's golf team will head to Florida to begin its spring season on Spring Break with a two-day event against St. Lawrence University and Florida Gateway College on March 23-24, while the the men's and women's track & field teams will start off the outdoor season at the end of Spring Break on March 28 at the Ramapo Invitational. The men's and women's crew teams will be the last spring sports to get underway on April 4 at Amherst College before coming home for its lone home race of the spring on April 11 against Vassar College.
