TROY, N.Y. – Members of the Union College women's lacrosse team and men's and women's crew teams were recognized by the Liberty League for success over the final week of the season that ended on May 10, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
Women's Lacrosse Offensive Performer of the Week: Gillian Joseph
Joseph scored 10 goals with one assist for 11 points in two NCAA Tournament games for Union over the weekend. The junior singlehandedly outscored Mount Union in Saturday's first-round victory, netting a school NCAA Tournament-record seven goals with one assist for eight points in a 21-5 win, then added a team-best three goals on Sunday against #3 Salisbury. Joseph finished her season second on Union's single-season goals and points lists with 69 goals and 17 assists for 86 points.
Men's Crew Boat of the Week: Varsity 8+ Boat
Sophomore
Erika Canaveral served as the coxswain for Union's First Varsity 8+ boat as seniors

Josh Atkinson (bow) raced St. Lawrence on Long Lake Sunday morning. The Garnet Chargers beat the Saints by a boat length, championing the head-to-head matchup up north for the third season in a row.

Women's Lacrosse: Sydney Widlitz
Widlitz had two excellent showings for Union in a pair of NCAA Tournament games over the weekend, combining for 20 saves and a .476 save percentage. The senior made nine saves and allowed a program NCAA Tournament-record low five goals in a 21-5 victory over Mount Union on Saturday, then stood tall with 11 saves to keep Union in the game against #3 Salisbury in Sunday's second-round matchup.
Women's Crew: Varsity 4+ Boat
After posting the best time in time trials and winning their semifinal on Friday at the Dad Vail Regatta, sophomore

Olivia Werkema (bow) placed second in the Grand Final of the Women's DII/DIII Varsity 4+ on Saturday. Union had the fastest time of all 10 entries in the time trial on Friday with a 7:29.765 then battled through windy waters in the semifinal to cross the finish line nearly five seconds before second-place Case Western Reserve.
