SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – For the first time since 2015, the Union College women's lacrosse team has earned a bid to the NCAA Division III Championship and will begin play on Saturday, May 9 against the University of Mount Union on the campus of Salisbury University.
Union will be making its eighth NCAA Tournament appearance and first since winning the Liberty League Tournament in 2015. The team is in the NCAAs for the third time as an at-large selection and is Union's first at-large for a women's sport since soccer in 2012.
The Garnet Chargers earned one of 16 at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament, as the team's #27 ranking in the final NCAA Power Index (NPI) was good for the 14th of 16 at-large selections in addition to the 31 automatic qualifying bids. The full NCAA Tournament bracket is available

Union will take on Mount Union in the first round on Saturday, May 9 at 11:30 a.m. The winner of that game will face off with host Salisbury in the second round on Sunday, May 10 at 1 p.m..
The winner of the Salisbury pod will advance to the regional rounds, which will be held at four campus sites on May 16 and 17. The national semifinals and championship will be played on May 22 and 24 at Rochester Institute of Technology's Judson Stadium.
