Gonye, a speedy prep school forward, played four years of varsity hockey at Deerfield, where he was rated a “C” skater by the NHL Central Scouting watch list in 2012. Gonye recorded 24 points (six goals, 18 assists) in 24 games played during the 2012-13 season.
