Nick Lydon

Nick Lydon begins his first season as the diving coach with the Union men's and women's swimming and diving teams in 2022-23.

Lydon comes to Union following an impressive diving career at the University of Florida. During his time at Florida, Lydon was part of all four SEC Championship teams and served as a team captain for his final year. Lydon placed 14th at the 2022 NCAA Diving Zones in the 3-meter springboard final with a score of 684.65. The Clifton Park native was a consistent point scorer for the nationally-ranked Gators, graduating in 2022 with a degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology.

Lydon was a high school standout for Shenendehowa, shattering the New York State Public High School Athletic Association 11-dive meet record in 2017 while also breaking the Shenendehowa pool record. The two-time National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association All-American captured four consecutive Section II Division I diving titles before capturing a state championship as a senior. Lydon is a six-time USA National Qualifier and an AAU National Champion.
