Kate Gustafson and Courtney Riepenhoff each scored a goal and two assists while Elsie Nichols found the back of the net twice in a three-goal third period to lift Union to a 5-2 non-league victory over Sacred Heart at the Frank L. Messa Rink at the Achilles Center. The victory not only improved the Dutchwomen's overall record to 3-7-1, it broke Union's six-game losing streak. Sacred Heart fell to 4-5-0.

Michelle Panella's sixth goal of the season gave the visitors a 1-0 lead at 11:59 of the first period. The Dutchwomen tied the game at 1-1 at 8:33 of the second period as Riepenhoff found the back of the net for the second time this season with Katie Monroe and Kate Gustafson each picking up assists. Sacred Heart took its final lead of the contest at 9:19 of the second on Panella's second goal of the game. However, Jamie Laubisch's second tally of the season tied the game at 2-2 at 11:26 of the period with assists going to Gustafson and Riepenhoff.

Union put the game with a three-goal outburst over the final 20 minutes with two of the tallies coming on the power play.

Gustafson picked up the game-winning goal, a power play tally at 2:04, with Riepenhoff and Jennifer Pike earning the assists. The Dutchwomen needed only 48 seconds to make it 4-2 as Nichols' fifth of the season was assisted by Kelly Lannan. The game's final tally came at 13:17 with Nichols scoring Union's second power play goal of the period. Lannan and Meghan O'Connor earned assists on the goal.

Sophomore goaltender Dana Smullyan evened her record at 1-1-1 with a 15-save performance. Sacred Heart goalie Jennifer Barris fell to 0-4-0 despite stopping 47 of the 52 shots she faced.
