Schenectady, NY-Nicole Corriero introduced Union to the world of Division I hockey in the ECAC as she broke the school record for goals in a game with six, and tied the mark for total points with 10 as third-ranked Harvard opened its season with a 13-0 win over Union.

The loss drops Union to 2-3-1, 0-1-1 in the ECAC.

Corriero broke the previous record of five goals in a game, and joins Jennifer Botterill 03 as the only Crimson skaters to register 10 points in a game. Two of her goals on the night were shorthanded, and one came on the power play.

Jennifer Raimondi notched the first hat trick of her career and also added an assist. Senior co-captain Lauren McAuliffe scored a power play goal and an assist. Ashley Banfield finished the night with three assists and Jennifer Skinner added two helpers in the win.

Kat Sweet opened the scoring just 34 seconds into the contest off of an assist from Carrie Schroyer. Corriero notched her first goal of the night with an unassisted tally at 1:04 and Ali Crum gave the Crimson a three-goal cushion with an assist from Corriero at 2:40. Raimondi added a goal at 17:43 to enable Harvard to close out the period with a 4-0 lead.

The Crimson added six goals in second period, including power play goals from Corriero, Jennifer Sifers and Raimondi. Two goals from Corriero and one from McAuliffe in the third period closed out the 13-0 win.

Harvard out shot Union 46-14 and was 4-for-7 on the power play. Crimson special teams also manufactured two shorthanded goals. Union finished the game 0-for-5 with the extra skater.

Ali Boe made 14 saves in the win. Lauren Carlson got the start between the pipes for the Dutchwomen, allowing eight goals and making 25 saves. Mandy Hanson played the final 27:56, posting eight saves and five goals against.

Harvard was without the services of senior co-captain and three-time All- America Angela Ruggiero (Harper Woods, MI) and reigning ECAC and Ivy League Rookie of the Year Julie Chu who are in Sweden with the US National team at the Four Nations Cup.--
