HAMILTON, NY -- Union won two doubles matches and took four singles matches to improve to 2-1 with a 6-3 men's tennis victory at Hamilton Thursday. Senior Andrew Draznin (Short Hills, NJ/Millburn) was a three-set winner over Jared Solomon, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 and Trey Minter (Bronxville, NY/Bronxville) posted a straight set win over Jared Friedberg, 6-1, 6-2. Draznin and Minter won the #1 doubles, 8-6.
In other singles wins, junior Tom Haynes (Hanover, NH/Hanover) was a victor in straight sets in the #6 singles, 6-1, 6-2, and Vick Ravikumar won in the #5 singles slot, 6-2 and 6-3.
The #3 doubles tandem of freshman Joe Wold (Casper, WY/Williston Northampton) and Haynes won 8-2 in the match at the Gray Tennis Courts.
Union competes at the Liberty League Championships at Hobart Saturday and Sunday.
