Last time we saw the Dutchwomen, they skated out Sacred Heart last week with a pair of victories, their first two of the season. Freshman forward Lauren Hoffman led the way during game one with a pair of goals, including the game-winner 1:29 into overtime. During game two, freshman forward Lauren Cromartie, who scored during game one, registered a pair of goals. Freshman defender Chelsey Heinhuis produced a career-high three assists during the second outing, while senior goaltender Lundy Day turned away a combined 69 saves and posted a .945 save percentage.

Friday's contest against Sacred Heart was Union's third overtime victory in program history. The previous OT win came on Jan. 19, 2003 at New England College (5-4). The first overtime victory came against Holy Cross on Jan. 12, 2002 (3-2). Union has played in two overtime games this season and is 1-0-1.

Looking at the top of Union's leaders list, three of the four tied at first with six points have at least one year of college experience. After that the next seven are all freshman. Senior Suzy Pocock (4G-2A), junior Jackie Koetteritz (3G-3A) and #sophomore Marissa Gentile# (2G-4A) are joined by freshman Adelle Calahan  (1G-5A) with six points. Cromartie (3G-2A) and Hoffman (2G-2A) are next in line with five and four points, respectively.

The Tigers have only lost one game in their last five outings, going 3-1-1. They are coming off a 4-2 victory against Quinnipiac on Tuesday night. Sophomore defender Sasha Sherry leads the team with 13 points, including a team-high tying eight assists. Her five goals are tied for second. Freshman forward Paula Romanchuk is second with 11 points and leads the team with six goals. Four of her markers have come on the power play. Junior forward Malanie Wallace is the only other double-digit scorer with 10 points. She is tied with Sherry with eight assists. Senior Kristen Young has posted a 5-6-1 record in goal to go along with her 2.70 goals-against average and .904 save percentage.

Entering the weekend, Union looks to earn its first victory all-time against Princeton. Since the two teams first meet during the 2003-04 season, the Tigers have posted a 10-0-0 record.

The Bobcats are on a seven-game skid and have not won in their last eight efforts. Their last win came on Nov. 7 at Colgate (3-2). Junior forward Janine Duffy leads all Quinnipiac scorers with 10 points, including a team-high tying five goals. Her five assists are tied for second. Behind her is senior forward Elyse Cole, who has eight points on five goals and three assists. Senior defender Trudy Reyns has posted a team-best six assists and is third with seven points.
