The Dutchmen start 2-0 for the sixth time in program history. Maine goes to 0-2.
Union, which was looking to repeat its success from Friday, started in a similar way with Simpson and Welsh scoring the first two goal as they did the night before. Simpson burned Maine goaltender Dave Wilson glove side at 9:10 of the first. Welsh and senior defenseman

Welsh got his name on the scoresheet again with this second goal of the season when sophomore forward
Kelly Zajac found his lineman in the slot. Without hesitation, Welsh fired one past the block at 11:05.
The Dutchmen's momentum carried over into the second despite Maine applying heavy pressure early. The defense and Milan eliminated the threat, allowing sophomore forward
Brian Yanovitch to pott his first career goal. Simpson fed Yanovitch just inside the left face-off dot and the Mansfield, MA native sneaked one past the right ear of Wilson.

Adam Presizniuk had points in both of the weekend's contest. Presizniuk deflected in a shot from the left point by sophomore defenseman
Nolan Julseth-White -- his first career point -- at 9:42 of the second.
A deflection on the Black Bears behave got them on the board when Adam Shemansky tipped home a waist-high shot from Josh Van Dyk at 12:27.
After Valery-Trabucco cashed in on his first of the season, Maine's Gustav Nyquist scored back-to-back goals at 7:36 and 9:58.
