ST. COULD, MN -- After falling behind 3-1 in the first period, the Union College men's ice hockey team scored two goals will less then three minutes left for a 3-3 tie at St. Cloud on Friday at the National Hockey Center. The Dutchmen extend their unbeaten streak to three games with a 2-0-1 mark, while the Huskies go to 0-2-1.
The Dutchmen's late rally began when freshman forward
Greg Coburn cut to the net for a one-touch goal at 17:21 setup by sophomore forward

Wayne Simpson. The goal was Coburn's first career tally and Yanovitch and Simpson each had two points.

Adam Presizniuk had the game-tying goal after junior defenseman
Brock Matheson sent a dump in on goal and Presizniuk was there for the rebound. The goal was Presizniuk's second in as many games and freshman forward
Ryan Forgaard earned his first career assist.
A offensive-filled first period showcased four goals, while the second and third periods saw plenty of opportunities with zero goals before the two-goal comeback began.
After the Huskies jumped out to a 1-0 lead, Yanovitch evened things up with his second goal of the season. The Simpson brothers (John and Wayne) each picked up assists on the goal. Found Wayne, a freshman, near the right circle and dished to Yanovitch streaking down the left side for a wide-open goal at 4:41.

The Huskies, coming off two losses at top-ranked Maimi, built a 3-1 lead with goals from Tony Mosey (a backdoor play on the power play) at 7:09 and Ryan Lasch (a rebound goal on a bouncing puck from the point) at 18:02.

Jason Walters both nearly scoring on plays down low. Each time St. Cloud freshman netminder Mike Lee had an answer, finishing the game with 34 saves.

Corey Milan made 33 stops in his third consecutive start.
Union went 0-3 on the power play, while St. Cloud was 1-4.
The two teams will do battle again on Saturday, Oct. 17 with a 6 p.m. (EST) start.
