Last weekend, each Dutchwomen goaltender picked up their first win on the season. Starting on Oct. 16 with freshman Alana Marcinko, she made 25 saves to preserve her first shutout in her collegiate career.

The Dutchwomen offense woke up and stayed awake the whole game, scoring six goals including two in the span of 14 seconds. Sophomore forward Molly Kate Devin scored the first goal of the game and then notched three assists later. Senior defenseman Jackie Koetteritz and sophomore #forward Kelly Alyea each scored two goals while sophomore forward Émilie Arseneault# scored her first goal on the season.

On the next day, the Dutchwomen defense had to be aggressive for sophomore goaltender Kate Gallagher, who made her season debut. The Dutchwomen were faced a six on four penalty kill twice but were successful. Arseneault broke the 1-1 tie in the second period by scoring the go-ahead goal.

With a two wins in the record book, the Dutchwomen will look to extend it to three facing a team it has never met. This Saturday's match against Connecticut will be the first meeting between the two schools.

The Huskies will be facing ECAC Hockey member Brown on Friday before facing the Dutchwomen. Connecticut has 15 letter winners but lost seven, including goaltender Brittany Wilson, who went 15-7-3 last season. Sophomore goaltender Alexandra Garcia has taken over for Wilson.

One of the returning letter winners is senior defenseman Cristin Allen, who scored five goals and notched 22 assists last season. This season she has recorded three assists in six games played.
