CAPE COD, MA – The 2009 All-ECAC Men's Soccer Upstate All-Stars were announced Wednesday and Union College freshman forward Sebastiaan Jansen was named Rookie of the Year. He also joined senior midfielder Ryan Banagan as a second-team selection.

 

Earlier this year Jansen was named the Liberty League Rookie of the year and to the all-conference first team. He led the Dutchmen with six goals, six assists and 18 points. He produced at least one point in eight games and registered a career-high four points twice.

  

Banagan was also a Liberty League First Team selection after posting six goals, four assists and 16 points. On Sept. 16, he was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week.

 

Union advanced to the conference title game for the second consecutive season. They finished 11-6-2 record with a 4-3-0 conference mark.
