POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Union College men's tennis team opened its portion of the Liberty League Championship with a 5-2 loss to Hobart on Saturday afternoon. Later that day, the Dutchmen defeated Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 5-1.

Union (2-6) took two points from doubles competition. Dan Nault and Sam Ringel defeated Bruce Grant and Alex James 8-5 in the No. 1 court while Saul Kurtz and Mike Kanner topped Matt Chin and Matt Hursh 8-2 in the No. 2 spot.

The Dutchmen conclude their season at Hartwick on April 20. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
