Swimming Defeats RPI

Bradner won the 100 yard backstroke and the 200 IM

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in a Liberty League contest against RPI on Friday evening. 
                      
The women won by a score of 192 to 100. The Medley Relay team of Sarah Bradner, Kaleigh Ahern, Andrea Marois, and Priscilla Wright took 1st place in their event with a time of 1:52.71. The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Wright, Danielle Young, Erica Fugger, and Diana Fletcher won their event in a time of 1:41.54. Young won the 200 Yard Freestyle in 2:00.01 and the 500 Yard Freestyle in 5:18.67. Bradner was the winner of the 100 Yard Backstroke finishing in 1:02.39 and the 200 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:17.06. Bradner also won the 200 Yard Backstroke in 2:13.78. Wright won the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 24.91 and the 100 Yard Freestyle in 55.64. Ahern took home the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:30.48. Marois was victorious in the 100 Yard Butterfly and finished in 1:01.75.
 
The men followed suit and won by a score of 186 to 114. The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Kevin Jung, Zach Wahl, Matt Wahl, and Alex Connell won with a time of 1:30.65. Zach Wahl was the winner of the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:48.14 as well as the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 53.36. Brian Scarlett won the 100 Yard Backstroke in 54.98 and the 200 Yard Backstroke in 2:00.45. Scarlett also was victorious in the 200 Yard Individual Medley with a time of 2:03.32. Matt Wahl was a winner in the Men's 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:00.76. Jung won the 50 Yard Freestyle in 22.33 and the 100 Yard Freestyle in 50.33. 

Ian Drillinger took home 1st place in the 1 Meter Diving for the Dutchmen.
 
The teams return to Alumni Gymnasium for their next meet on Saturday, January 22nd at 2 p.m. against Middlebury College.
