FINAL RESULTS
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - Middlebury College defeated the Union College women's swimming and diving teams 226-67 on Saturday in Vermont. Several Dutchwomen earned top-three spots throughout the meet.
Freshman
Anne Trojanowski extended her winning streak, claiming first in the 1,000-yard free. The rookie clocked in at 10:52.12.
The Dutchwomen collectively earned a second-place finish when the squad of senior
Priscilla Wright, sophmore
Emily Opolski, junior
Diana Fletcher and senior
Lexi Bascom swam a time of 1:43.96 in the 200-yard free relay.
Wright would go on to claim a second-place finish of her own in the 50-yard free, swimming in at 25.04 seconds. The senior also took third in the 100-yard free with a time of 56.09 seconds.
Fellow senior
Lexi Bascom earned a third-place finish, as well, clocking in at 29.46 seconds in the 50-yard back. She was trailed by
Sarah Bradner who took fourth with a time of 29.76 seconds. The sophomore came in third-place in the 100-yard back with 1:02.88, closely followed by Bascom with 1:03.38 for fourth-place.
Union returns home to the Alumni Gym Pool on Saturday, January 28th, to take on Hamilton College at 2 p.m.
