AMHERST, Mass. - Benjamin Nadareski,
Matt Wahl and Zach Wahl paced the Dutchmen but the men's swimming and diving squad was defeated by Amherst College 232-66 on Wednesday evening at Pratt Pool.
Asher Litchtig led the Lord Jeffs, posting the top score in the 3-meter (327.52) and 1-meter (317.47) dives.
Jeremy Sagaille and
Cameron Robertson highlighted the Dutchmen in the 1mtr and 3mtr respectively placing fourth.
Amherst's Conor Deveney, Alex Kang, Matt Heise and Connor Sholtis got the Lord Jeffs on the board with a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay (1:37.51), before Aaron Reynolds, Conor McAuliffe and Parker Moody took the top three spots in the 400-yard IM.?? Nick Egan kept prevented Union from earning a top finisher as he edged out
Zack Wahl in the 200-yard freestyle.
Fellow first-years Tom Zhang and Jeff Anderson earned the top times in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Matt Wahl nearly gave Union a first place finish in the 200-yard butterfly but was outpaced by Sam Stewart.
Ben Nadaraski also put forth a strong effort as he clocked in a 22.92 time in the 50-yard freestyle but was trumped by Connor Sholtis.
The Dutchmen will be traveling to Fort Pierce, Florida as Union will take on Indian River Community College next week on Wednesday, December 12 at 2:30 p.m.
