Christine Valente netted the lone goal in the loss against Quinnipiac as she was set up by Rhianna Kurio and Alex Tancrell- Fontaine on the power play. Scouting Yale
Yale (2-10-0, 1-5-0 ECAC) comes into the matchup recently having the week off. Other notable skaters on offense include Jamie Haddad (2-4-6), Tara Tomimoto (1-4-5) and Danielle Moncion (0-3-0). Jamie Leonoff leads Yale defensively in net starting all 12 games for the Bulldogs thus far. The netminder has compiled a 2-10-0 record with a 3.41 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.

Scouting Brown
Brown (1-7-1, 1-5-0 ECAC) recently played a pair of exhibition games against University of Montreal and McGill at weekend. Brown prevailed over the University of Montreal in a 4-1 win but was defeated by McGill in a 3-1 decision. Monica Masucci tallied her first two goals of the season in the game against the Carabins with Sarah Robson and Jessica Hoyle wrapping up the scoring for the Bears. Rewriting Records
Christine Valente continues to excel for the Dutchwomen special teams unit as she netted her fourth power play goal in the loss against Quinnipiac. Her four power play goals tie a single-season record, which is held by Lauren Hoffman (2007-08) and Elizabeth Flanagan (2001-02).

Power Play
Christine Valente tallied another power play goal for the Dutchwomen in the loss against Quinnipiac; Valente's goal pushes up the team total ten this season. Valente's three power play goals also ranks tied for 14th among all skaters in Division I.

When Valente Registers a Point
Christine Valente has registered at least one point in every tie or win the Dutchwomen have earned this season. Union is 3-1-2 when Valente has tallied a point. In games that Valente has not registered a point; the Dutchwomen are 0-7-0 and have been outscored 31-5.

Contributing Freshman
Courtney Turner, Jessica Kaminsky and Kathryn Tomaselli have all netted goals on the season. Tomaselli and Turner are tied for the team lead with goals with Christine Valente with three. Kaminsky leads all freshman skaters with seven points. Additionally, half of the team's power play goals scored have come from freshman.

Christine Valente leads all Union skaters in goals scored with three in the last five games. Defensively, Maddy Norton paces the team in blocked shots with 11 while teammate Kelly McGrath has 10 of her own. Netminder Shenae Lundberg has compiled a 2.72 goals against average with a .908 save percentage in the last five games as well.

Open Fire
When the Dutchwomen have scored the first goal and leading after one, Union holds a 2-2-1 record against opponents.

Record Book Watch
With the Dutchwomen's win against Syracuse, Shenae Lundberg notched her third win of her career, putting her tied for tenth in all-time wins in program history with three. Teammate Alana Marcinko has six wins, which ranks tied for third in team history. In addition, one more shutout will give the netminder the all-time record in career shutouts. Forward Stefanie Thomson is now tenth all-time in career goals with 13 along with Kelly Lannan (2003-2007) and Melissa Johnson (1999-2000). Christine Valente trumped her season-high of three power play goals last year with her score against Quinnipiac. Valente needs one more to break the program high in power play goals in one season. Only two Dutchwomen skaters have accomplished this feat, Lauren Hoffman (2008-09) and Elizabeth Flanagan (2001-02). Additionally, she ranks tied for second in career power play goals with Jackie Koetteritz '10 and Elizabeth Flanagan.

Going for No. 20
Coach Claudia Asano Barcomb has won 19 games for the Dutchwomen in her six seasons with the program. With a win, the coach will be 10 wins away from the all-time wins mark set by Fred Quistgard who was the coach from 1999 to 2004 who compiled a 30-97-6 record during his tenure.

New York State of Mind
All of the Dutchwomen's wins and ties this season have occurred within the state of New York. At Messa Rink, Union has earned two of their three wins and both of their ties. The other win came against neighboring Rensselaer back on October 20. This season, the Dutchwomen are 2-2-2 in games played in the Empire State.

Play Fair
The Dutchwomen average 7.08 minutes of penalty time per game while opponents have averaged 10.8 minutes per game. Currently the Dutchwomen are the second least penalized team in all of Division I and the ECAC.

Game-Tying Goals
Rhianna Kurio's last minute game-tying goal against the Tigers puts her with only five other skaters in the ECAC with game-tying goals this season.

ECAC Accolades
Goaltender Shenae Lundberg was honored by ECAC Hockey as Goaltender of the Week on November 13 for her performance against Quinnipiac and Princeton. The netminder made 57 saves in the two games while compiling an 1.39 goals against average. This is the second time the goaltender has won the award this season.

Program First
The last time the Dutchwomen played against the Bulldogs at home, Union was able to earn their first win in program against Yale in a 2-0 shutout.  Additionally, it has stood as the last time that Union has earned a shutout against their opponent.

Recent Success Against Bears
Against the Bears in the last six games, Union holds a 2-1-3 record against Brown. However, Brown did defeat Union at Meehan Auditorium and earned a tie at Messa Rink last year.

Two or Less
Union has compiled a 3-1-2 record when their opponent is held to two goals or less. In games that meet that criterion, Union has outscored opponents 14-11. Five of the six games in which an opponent is limited to two goals or less has come down to one goal or a draw.

Battle Royale
Union is part of a four-way tie with Brown, Yale and Rensselaer for ninth in the ECAC. Currently, Colgate (4-11-2, 1-7-2 ECAC) holds the final playoff spot with four points after their upset win over No. 2 Clarkson and ties against Princeton and Dartmouth.
