Daniel Carr each scored first period goals to help lift No. 16 men's ice hockey (10-6-4, 4-2-3 ECAC Hockey) to a 3-2 win over Princeton (5-8-4, 4-4-3 ECAC Hockey) in front of 2,376 fans at Hobey Baker Rink.
The Dutchmen outshot Princeton 45-19 for the night, but had to kill off 4:00 of Princeton power play time as junior forward
Josh Jooris was called for two penalties on the same shift with 5:02 remaining in the third period.
Princeton recorded just one shot on the ensuing man advantage, as the Dutchmen held the Tigers scoreless on five power play chances.

Troy Grosenick made 17 saves to improve to 6-4-4 on the season, while Princeton goaltender Sean Bonar stopped 42 shots.
Union found itself down early, as Princeton scored on its first shot in the opening minute of the contest. Princeton's Will MacDonald skated into the neutral zone on a 2-on-2 and beat Grosenick with a low wrist shot at the :25 mark.
Union responded on its second 5-on-3 power play opportunity of the first period with as Michael Sdao took a boarding penalty at 8:33 with Eric Meland already in the penalty box for cross checking, giving the Dutchmen 1:12 of power play time.

Wayne Simpson fed senior forward
Kyle Bodie in the slot, who beat Bonar at 9:29 to tie the game at 1-1. With an assist on the play, Simpson recorded his 99
th career point, and is one away from becoming the ninth player with 100 career points at Union in the Division I era.
Union carried the play for the remainder of the period, scoring twice at even strength in the final 10:00 of the frame. After an extended shift in the Princeton zone, Carr fired a shot on net from the slot that deflected off the stick of Novak and into the net at 12:24.

Carr skated from behind the Princeton net and beat Bonar with a wraparound at 18:08 to give Union a 3-1 lead after one period of play.
Union outshot Princeton 23-8 in the opening period of play, matching a program best for first period shots set on Oct. 29, 2011 against AIC.
The Dutchmen continued to push the play in the second period, outshooting Princeton 14-5 in the frame, but Bonar kept the Tigers in the game, making his best stop of the frame on sophomore forward
