ITHACA, NY -- Christina Belforti and Rachel Clegg won multiple events to highlight the performances for the Union College women's swimming & diving meet at Ithaca College Saturday. The host Bombers won the meet, 193-105.

Belforti took first place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.69, and also won the 200 backstroke at 2:10.33. Her third event win of the day came when she was in first place in the 100 butterfly, clocking at 1:00.77. Clegg took first place in the 100 breaststroke, timed at 1:09.94, and also was the winner of the 200 breaststroke timed at 2:32.07.

Brittany Kenny also had a strong day for the Dutchwomen. She was second in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:17.17, and later was the winner of the 200 individual medley. She took first in that event at 2:16.24. Anne Trojanowski was second in the 1000 freestyle (10:55.31) and Alexis Wojtowicz was second at 25.43 in the 50 free. Union was second in the 400 medley relay, led by Kenny, Clegg, Belforti and Emily Opolski's time of 4:08.79.

Union returns to action February 19-22 when Ithaca hosts the UNYSCSA & Empire 8 Championships.
