  • Thomson added her second goal midway through the third period when she picked up a rebound in front and maneuvered past the goaltender to fire a wrist shot into the back of the net. Valente added her third assist of the game after taking the initial shot on goal. Sophomore forward Kathryn Tomaselli also recorded an assist on the play.
  • Yale broke up the shutout as Haddad wristed a shot past Lundberg's outstretch blocker. They tried to extend their lead with over two minutes remaining when they pulled Leonoff in favor of the extra attacker. The Dutchwomen made it interesting with 36 seconds left when junior forward Bryanne Panchuk headed to the box for hooking to give Yale a two-man advantage. Lundberg made another flurry of saves down the stretch to keep Yale from getting any closer as she ended the game with 28.
  • Senior forward Stefanie Thomson tallied her third goal of the weekend as the lone tally for the Dutchwomen. With the goal, Thomson pulled into a tie with sophomore Kathryn Tomaselli for the team lead in goals with 11.

Union continued to pressure the Bears down the stretch as they pulled Lundberg with 1:58 remaining in the third period in favor of the extra attacker.
