HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Union captured the top singles flight, but still lost to Hamilton, 8-1, in a non-conference road match held indoors at the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. The match was moved from Schenectady due to inclement weather.
T.J. Moor recorded Union's lone point with a straight set win at No. 1 singles, defeating Ben Swett, 6-1, 6-4.
Grant Zaccareo fought back from a set down to win his second set, 6-0, before losing the third set, 6-3.
In doubles competition, Union's closest match occurred at the No. 3 flight, where
David Brown and
Brendan Conry took six games in an 8-6 loss to Austin Lokre and Max McKee-Proctor.
Union (2-6) is off until April 24, when it travels to Hartwick for a non-conference match.
