Union Men's Tennis Falls to Rensselaer, 9-0

TROY, N.Y. -- Playing outdoors for the first time this spring, Union dropped a 9-0 match to Rensselaer in Liberty League action from Sharp Courts. The Engineers, the 11th-ranked team in the Northeast Region, won their fourth-straight match to improve to 9-2. Union is now 1-5 overall, 1-3 in the Liberty League.

RPI won all nine matches in straight sets, with five players earning two victories. Among them was senior Jarrett Regier, who teammed with Brandon Mazzara to take No. 1 doubles, 8-5, and then posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. Sherman Uyeno won at No. 3 doubles, 8-6 with Graham Harris, and No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-0.

T.J. Moor won a team-high seven games in a hard-fought loss to Matt LaBarre in No. 1 singles. Freshman Brendan Conry made his singles debut for the Dutchmen in the No. 6 Flight.

Union returns to the courts on April 12, hosting RIT in a Liberty League dual match starting at 3:00 p.m.
