TROY, NY - Senior goalkeeper Ryan Carter was named Liberty League Defensive Performer of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is his first selection as DPOW this season after being named twice to the league honor roll.

 Carter picked up his third shutout of the season in the 2-0 win over New Paltz, making five saves in the contest and he did not allow a goal in his 74+ minutes of action in the 8-0 win over Bard, making two saves before departing. Carter has not allowed a goal in his last 375:16 minutes in goal for Union.

Carter and the rest of the Dutchmen will look to extend their four game shutout streak (3-0-1) as they host St. Lawrence on Friday at 4pm and Clarkson on Saturday at 2pm.
