Meet Results Meet ScoresSCHENECTADY, NY -The Dutchwomen bested Hartwick College 170-121 but fell to Springfield College 192-108 in a tri-meet on Sunday afternoon.
Christina Belforti had a tremendous showing on the day as she claimed a pair of first place finishes in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke. She was also a part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team comprised of Belforti,
Heather Wright,
Lindsay Hemminger and
Christy Brown who won the event with a time of 3:45.32. Belforti also came away with a second place showing in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.51.
Wright had a second place outing in the 50-yard free and came in third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.42.
Alexis Wojtowicz placed behind Wright in the 50 free, touching the wall at 25.86. The sophomore had another third palce showing in the 100-yard fly, finishing at 1:02.13. She was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay squad made up of Wojtowicz, Brown,
Lily Suhanovsky and Hemminger who placed second in the event.
Jennifer Fromm claimed a second place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:17.02 for the Dutchwomen.
On the diving side,
Sarah Dimmitt finished second in the 3-meter with a score of 253.35 and led Union with a third place effort in the 1-meter, scoring 232.64 points.
The Dutchwomen will be back in action this weekend as they host RPI on Friday night and Middlebury on Saturday afternoon.
