SCHENECTADY, NY - The Union College women's swimming and diving collected six first place finishes but fell to RPI 126-116 in a dual meet on Friday night inside Alumni Gymnasium Pool.
Anne Trojanowski picked up the first top individual finish for the Dutchwomen as the senior won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:11.61. She also placed second in 500-yard freestyle as she touched the wall at 5:29.07.
The trio of
Heather Wright,
Christy Brown and
Alexis Wojtowicz swept the top three spots in the 50-yard freestyle event for Union.
Wright also claimed the top spot in the 100-yard free with a time of 55.53.
Wright, Wojtowicz,
Naina Thota and Trojanowski earned a first place finish in the final swimming event on the evening as the quartet won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.98.
Belforti placed second in the 200-yard IM, touching the wall at 2:13.99. Also earning second place finishes for the Garnet and White were
Brittany Kenny in the 200-yard freestyle and
Jennifer Fromm in the 100-yard butterfly.
On the diving side,
Sarah Dimmitt claimed a first place finish in the 3-meter with a score of 268.43.
Union will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as they host Middlebury. The meet will begin at 1:00pm.
