CLINTON, NY- The Union College women's swimming and diving team defeated Hamilton College 150-148 on Saturday afternoon behind eight first place finishes.
Christina Belforti and
Brittany Kenny both earned a pair of first place finishes and added a second place showing to lead the Dutchwomen. Belforti picked wins in the 200-yard free and 200-yard back and came in second in the 200-yard IM. Kenny came away with the top spot in the 100-yard backstroke and the 200 Im while placing second in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Also winning on the swimming side was
Jennifer Fromm in the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard medley relay team of Belforti,
Lily Suhanovsky,
Alexis Wojtowicz and
Heather Wright.
Taking second for Union during the meet was
Anne Trojanowski in three events (200-yard fly, 1000-yard free and 500-yard free), Wojtowicz in the 100-yard fly and Wright in the 50-yard free.
On the diving side,
Sarah Dimmitt and
Clara Shealy finished 1-2 in both events. Dimmitt took first in the 1-meter with a score 256.66 and posted 266.33 to win the 3-meter.
The Dutchwomen will return to action next Saturday as they host Ithaca at 2pm in the final dual meet of the season.
