ALBANY, N.Y. – Union College forwards Daniel Ciampini and Ryan Scarfo have been presented with ECAC Hockey monthly awards. Ciampini was named Player of the Month and Scarfo selected as Rookie of the Month for December. 

Ciampini led ECACH players with seven points in December, averaging 1.25 points per game. In addition, he paced the league in game-winning goals (3), shots on goal (17) and plus/minus rating (+7). Ciampini was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week (Dec. 9) and chosen the NCAA.com First Star the same week.  It's the second time Ciampini has won the league's monthly award, he was honored last February as well.

Scarfo was twice named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week in December.  He led ECAC Hockey rookies in overall scoring (five points) and plus/minus (+5) and won 20 faceoffs in four games for the Dutchmen. Scarfo was also named to the Frozen Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team.
