SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Four Union College men's hockey seniors signed professional contracts with ECHL teams last week.
Nick Young signed with the Idaho Steelheads,
Colby MacArthur joined the Kansas City Mavericks,
Parker Lindauer is now a Bloomington Bison, and
Nate Hanley is a member of the Greensboro Gargoyles.
These four seniors were part of a nine-player Class of 2026 for Union, led by head coach Josh Hauge. The seniors won 71 games during their four years in Schenectady, and the team's 22 wins in 2025-26 were its most since winning 25 games in 2016-17. Union finished its season with a 90.4% penalty-kill percentage, which is the best across all of NCAA Division-I men's hockey.
#7 Nick Young - Idaho Steelheads
CAREER: 144 GP, 7G, 23A, 30P
Union's captain from Raleigh, N.C. blocked 215 shots during his four years in Schenectady. He finished his career with a 123 consecutive games-played streak, dating back to January of his first season. He owns the sixth-longest Ironman streak in Union's Division-I history. Young scored a goal in his first game with the Steelheads.
CAREER: 113GP, 23G, 50A, 73P
The Summerside, Prince Edward Island native led the team in points as a junior in 2024-25 and scored a single-season career-high 32 points as a senior. He finished his senior year on a tear, totaling 19 points in his final 13 games. He tallied his 17th career multi-point performance in his final game as a Garnet Charger in the ECAC Hockey Playoffs on March 7. MacArthur scored two goals in his debut for the Mavericks on Wednesday night.
CAREER: 102 GP, 14G, 36A, 50P
Lindauer, originally from Madison, Wisc., joined Union from the University of Maine after his sophomore season. He led the Garnet Chargers with 24 assists in 2025-26 while serving as an alternate captain. Lindauer had 11 points in the Union's final 10 games of the season, including a three-point performance against Brown University in the ECAC Hockey Tournament Opening Round on March 7.
#24 Nate Hanley - Greensboro Gargoyles
CAREER: 143 GP, 25G, 72A, 97P
From Rocky Point, N.Y., Hanley finished his career tied for the 11th-most active career assists in NCAA Division-I men's hockey (72). His 72 career assists are the 10th most in Union's Division-I history. He skated in 36 games for Union as a senior, recording five multi-point games. Hanley tallied an assist in Union's 5-4 overtime win over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the 2026 Mayors' Cup on Jan. 24 and finished his career with 11 points against the Engineers.
