HAMILTON, NY—The Union College women's ice hockey team held a 2-1 lead until the 59:24 mark before Colgate tied it up 2-2 to grab on a 2-2 overtime tie to open ECAC play.
Jacyn Reeves struck first with passes from
Jessica Kaminsky and
Erica Kelly. The Raiders tied it up eight minutes later off a Jessie Eldridge goal from Lauren Wildfang.
Entering the second period tied 1-1,
Kathryn Tomaselli placed her fourth goal of the year into the back of the net from
Alli Devins to put the Dutchwomen up 2-1 for the entire second period.
With 36 seconds left in the third period, Colgate's Shelby Perry was able to push one past
Melissa Black to tie the game up at 2-2.
Black tallied 58 saves on the afternoon including 17 in the first and second period. She also secured four more saves in overtime to prevent any other goals.
The Dutchwomen take on Cornell at 3 p.m.
